If learners are not engaged in the lesson or training session, they won’t learn a thing. Animated videos are one way to combat boredom and engage learners in an eLearning module.
I designed an online Needs Analysis course for Instructional Designers. This work sample is based on one of the lessons. Learners watch an example of a customer service training module, and they must analyze the probable effectiveness of the video. The lesson is part of a scenario-based learning approach, in which students are thrown into a realistic needs analysis situation and asked to solve the various issues that occur.
Rapid eLearning Authoring Tools: I used GoAnimate to create the animated video, and Camtasia Studio 8 to edit the video. Then I imported the video into a lesson created in Articulate Storyline 2.
